Short and rhyme, poems manage to attract the attention
of children. This time is used to teach them rhyming, to memorize and
understand; why not, a set of values.
Poetry has multiple benefits: children are attracted
to her for her musicality and rhythm, memory exercises, new vocabulary is
acquired, it improves oral expression, sensitivity work, imagination...
So, this year 1º ESO celebrated the holiday of Halloween.
All designed an activity which they called POEMWEEN who managed to attract the
attention of students created short, rhyming poems, in English with vocabulary of
Halloween. Then, they performance their poems.
